The world celebrates Yoga day on 21st June, which coincides with the Summer Solstice. The whole school, from Pre Primary to Class 12th celebrated the 4th World Yoga day in school. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the word Yog- which means sambandh or connection. A connection between the mind, the body and the soul.

The yoga sessions were conducted in 4 batches. Pre-Primary, 1st to 3rd, 4th to 6th and 7th to 12th. The Pre Primary kids came wearing all white kurta pajamas and very enthusiastically did the Asanas in the school Auditorium.

We had a professional Yoga trainer visiting us to talk to students and teach them basic Yoga postures for class 4th above.

Class 7th to 12th were taught Mental Yoga and were informed about the Holistic healing that can happen through practicing Yoga daily. The importance of relaxation of the body and mind was emphasized upon.

The kids did find it relaxing and rejuvenating.
