Like every year, D G Educational Trust celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm.
The pre-primary and the primary section kids celebrated Independence Day the previous day, i.e. 14th August 2019 with zeal and pomp. They mesmerized the audience with their wonderful performances.
On 15th August 2019, the entire school in the morning assembled at the school ground. The Chairman, Mr. B D Patil was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He hoisted the national flag and all the teachers and students saluted the flat. The national anthem “Jana Gana Mana” echoed in the entire campus. The Student Council marched to the beat of the drum and escorted the Chief Guest and other dignitaries to the auditorium for the cultural function.
The program started with the worshipping of “Saraswati” followed by the lightning of the lamp. The Chairman delivered a speech reminding the students of the great sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and instilling the spirit of nationalism in all. Mentioning that India is becoming a “Superpower” he urged the students to serve our motherland with utmost sincerity.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Sangita Dwivedi said in her speech that freedom is very precious and it is necessary to preserve it.
A number of patriotic songs, dances, and recitations were presented by students. A speech by a participant threw some light on the freedom struggle. A one-act play depicting the “Raksha Bandhan” theme was well presented. Students from the degree college presented some scintillating dance performance. A group recitation by children was appreciated by all. A dance performance signifying the development of India in all fields enthralled the audience.
At the end, sweets were distributed among all.
