A prayer to God always nurtures and nourishes one’s mind. With this thought, a prayer meeting was organised by D.G. International School on 20th January, 2020 in the school auditorium for the students of Xth and XIIth 2019-2020 along with their parents, teachers and Principal maam.
The meeting began by lighting the lamp and invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati with ‘Saraswati Vandana.’ The song “There shall be showers of blessings…” which followed filled the children with great joy and calmed down their anxious hearts. Principal ma’am led the prayer meeting blessing the children and guiding them on how to prepare for their exams physically, mentally and spiritually. She emphasized on a planned time table and regular revision.
The class teachers of Xth and XIIth were called upon to light diyas and hand them over to their children as a symbol of the light of God providing them strength and guidance, illuminating their minds in their every walk of life. The teachers and parents also took their turns to shower their blessings on students which no doubt gave them a renewed energy to take up their studies on a serious note.
The prayer meeting ended with a lot of hopes, aspirations and expectations all offered into the hands of the Almighty.
