“Basant Panchmi” is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom.
This day was celebrated in our school, DGET’S INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, THANE, with great fervor and enthusiasm.
Yellow colour – representative of spiritual knowledge, is given importance on basant panchmi.
We started the program with Saraswati Puja and offering yellow-colored flowers to the Goddess. Yellow colour – representative of spiritual knowledge, is given importance on basant panchmi.
It was then followed with the welcome dance and singing of the spiritual song – ‘Hey Sharde Maa’.
Students performed saraswati stuti and saraswati vandana. The dress code of the teachers on that day was also yellow.
The principal of our school Mrs. Sangita Dwivedi apprised students about the significance of the day and glorified the magnificence of Goddess Saraswati, the epitome of knowledge and wisdom. She wished the children on the occasion of Vasant Panchami and welcomed them back in school after long COVID break.
The students truly enjoyed the celebration and enthusiastically shared the joy of festivity with everyone.
