Christmas is a festival of joy and merriment. The school celebrated Christmas on 23 rd December 2019 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebration had taken place in the school auditorium. The previous day the school auditorium was beautifully decorated. There was the Christmas tree with lights, stars and toys. Stage was decorated with Christmas tags and pictures. At one corner the well-decorated crib was kept on a table.
The programme started with the prayer song to Almighty “There shall be showers of blessing… .”The tiny tots of preprimary section thronged in lovely colorful attire.The story depicting the birth of Jesus Christ was presented by the students of different classes. The enactment of the journey of Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem and eventually the birth of Lord Jesus enthralled the audience. The narrators explained the true meaning of christmas through dialogues. A soulful rendition of the Christmas carol was loved by all. A group of teachers presented a christmas song. Beautifully choreographed dances were performed by the students from primary, middle and senior students. The festive spirit was witnessed among the staff and students alike.
At the end, Santa Claus dressed in red and white clothes carried bags full of toffies and goodies. The children were overjoyed when Santa moved around distributing sweets.
The Principal praised and appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers. She expressed her delight on seeing such enthusiasm in children who brought the spirit of Christmas to life. She wished ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘A Happy New Year’ to all.
